Which samples are needed?
Our Fast Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea Screen only requires a simple urine sample. You should be able to produce a urine sample at your appointment, so we advise to avoid using the toilet in the two hours before your test. There are no fasting requirements for this test.
If you would like to test for any other STIs at the same time, you can add these at our reduced bolt-on price when you book. These tests may require additional samples.
How do I get my results?
Your results will be available within one working day from when your sample arrives at our accredited testing laboratory. You can track the progress of your results in our secure online Patient Area where you can view them as they become available. We can also contact you by phone, email or SMS. Please let us know your preferred method at the time of booking.
What if I test positive?
Do not worry. Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea are both curable. If either test is positive, Better2Know will provide a prescription for the right medication to treat the infection. This can often take place over the telephone to make it as quick as possible.
