Is this Chlamydia test accurate?
The Better2Know home sample collection Chlamydia test is very accurate. It enables you to test for Chlamydia from the comfort and privacy of your own home. If you are not sure which STI you may have, or you are concerned about a risky encounter, we suggest you choose the Full STI Screen.
How does testing work?
Simply choose and pay for your test from the panel on the right. We will then post your discreet testing kit to your home (the postal pack is plain so no one will know what it is). In addition, we will send you a copy of the sample collection instruction leaflet. Collect a urine sample in the container we provide in your kit, then send it back in the prepaid packaging provided. We will email you as soon as the results are ready.
When will my test kit arrive?
If you order your test before 4pm Monday to Friday, we will post it out to you first class on the same day. Depending upon where you live, your test should arrive within two to four days.
How long before I get my test result?
The results of your Chlamydia test should be ready within three days from when your sample arrives at the laboratory.
What happens if my Chlamydia test is positive and I need treatment?
Chlamydia is easily treated and curable with antibiotics. You can speak to our doctor over the phone who will be able to arrange for the appropriate medicine to be sent to you (there is a small charge for this). You can also choose to take these results to your own doctor if you prefer.
Is testing through Better2Know confidential ?
Yes, your results and details are completely confidential. We will not share results or information with your GP or anyone else without your permission.
How long should I wait after sex before getting a Chlamydia Test?
You should wait 2 weeks since your last risky encounter before getting tested. This is because the test may be unable to detect Chlamydia earlier than this.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When will you send my kit to me?
If your order is placed before 4pm on a working day, then it will be sent the same day. Otherwise it will be sent on the next working day.
Q: Why do you need my email address?
Your Patient Services Manager, Louise Wright, will email you your login details to access your results, a confirmation your kit has been dispatched and finally when all your results are ready. We do not sell on or email you any other marketing materials, that is why we do not ask you to opt in or out of anything.
Q: Do I need to use my real name?
No, but the postman does need to know where to deliver the kit to. As long as you use a name that will get the kit to you, then we do not need your real name.
Q: What does the kit packaging look like?
It will arrive in plain white envelope with your typed name and address on it.
Q: What if I have any more questions?
You can email Louise by replying to one of the emails she has sent to you. She will do her best to answer them.
