Better2Know Terms & Conditions
Which tests are included in the Comfort Screen?
In the Better2Know Comfort Screen, the following STDs and STIs are tested for using a home kit:
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhoea
- Herpes I and II (Current Infection)
- Trichomonas
- Mycoplasma
- Ureaplasma
- Gardnerella
PLEASE NOTE: For the Herpes test to be accurate you must be symptomatic at the time you submit your urine sample.
Is the Comfort Screen accurate?
Yes, this is a very accurate CE marked test performed in our accredited laboratory.
How does this home test work?
This test only needs a urine sample. After you have ordered your test online, we will post your discreet test pack to your home (the postal pack is plain so no one will know what it is). In your pack, you will find a form, a urine collection container, and a postage-paid return envelope. In addition, we will email you a copy of the sample collection instruction leaflet, which will give you instructions on how to collect your sample with ease. It is important that you follow the instructions on the leaflet carefully. You will get an email when your results are ready to view, but you can also log on to our secure website and check them whenever you like.
When will my test kit arrive?
If you order your test on a working day before 4pm (Monday to Friday), we will post it out to you the same day. Your kit should arrive within 2-4 days. Delivery times may vary slightly depending where you live.
How long before I get my Comfort Screen results?
The results of your Comfort Screen should be ready five days from when your sample arrives at the laboratory.
What happens if my Comfort Screen is positive?
If your screen shows any of the infections we check for, we can arrange for you to speak to one of our doctors on the telephone. You can discuss the results and, if required, can get a prescription for the required medication (there will be a small fee for this). You can also choose to take your results to your own doctor.
Is testing for STIs with Better2Know confidential?
Yes, it is. Better2Know will not share your results or information with anyone else unless you give us permission to do so. Your results and details are completely confidential.
How long should I wait after an encounter before having a Comfort Screen?
You should wait at least 14 days since any incident you are concerned about before having this range of STI tests. You can order your kit now, but if you test too soon, then it may not be as accurate as it can be.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When will you send my kit to me?
If your order is placed before 4pm on a working day, then it will be sent the same day. Otherwise it will be sent on the next working day.
Q: Why do you need my email address?
Your Patient Services Manager, Louise Wright, will email you your login details to access your results, a confirmation your kit has been dispatched and finally when all your results are ready. We do not sell on or email you any other marketing materials, that is why we do not ask you to opt in or out of anything.
Q: Do I need to use my real name?
No, but the postman does need to know where to deliver the kit to. As long as you use a name that will get the kit to you, then we do not need your real name.
Q: What does the kit packaging look like?
It will arrive in plain white envelope with your typed name and address on it.
Q: What if I have any more questions?
You can email Louise by replying to one of the emails she has sent to you. She will do her best to answer them.
